Job summary

Blank Street is seeking a hands-on Shift Lead to guide the cafe team, maintain smooth daily operations, and deliver exceptional hospitality. You will lead by example on the floor, coach new hires, and ensure recipes and standards are followed while keeping the store clean and welcoming.

The role emphasizes customer connection, fast-paced service, and teamwork. Ideal candidates thrive in busy environments and are passionate about delivering great coffee and experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership role, preferably in hospitality or coffee.
• Authorized to work in the US with I-9 verification.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability for full-time, 30–40 hours per week, 4–5 days, with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun).

Responsibilities

• Lead on the floor, setting a positive example for the team.
• Train new employees on recipes and training procedures, ensure correct uniform.
• Open and close the location safely and maintain store cleanliness.
• Collaborate with operations/marketing to increase foot traffic and sales.
