Job summary

The Clover and the Bee in Webster Groves, MO is seeking a Shift Lead to help guide our daytime café team and ensure service runs smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with barista experience who can connect with guests and coworkers.

Full-time preferred, 32–40 hours/week, with shifts starting as early as 6:15 AM and extending into the afternoon. This is a tipped hourly position with a $1–$2 premium above base server pay, plus PTO, health insurance, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Barista experience is required.
• Some leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the café.
• Directing the flow of service and keeping the team organized.
• Training and supporting team members.
• Providing in-the-moment direction and communicating performance concerns to management.
• Maintaining hospitality, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Interacting with guests and resolving day-to-day service issues.
• Preparing espresso drinks and supporting beverage service.
• Taking orders, running food, bussing tables, and packing to-go orders.
• Restocking and keeping the café clean and organized.
• Jumping in wherever needed to keep service moving.
