Job summary

The Clover and the Bee in Webster Groves, MO is seeking a Shift Lead to help guide our daytime café team and keep service smooth, warm, and efficient. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an experienced barista or hospitality professional ready to take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, directing service flow, training teammates, handling guest concerns, preparing espresso drinks, taking orders, and maintaining a clean, organized café.

Qualifications

• Barista experience is required.
• Leadership experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Strong communication and reliability for opening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the café
• Direct the flow of service and keep the team organized
• Assign side work and responsibilities during the shift
• Train and support team members
• Provide in-the-moment direction and coach management as needed
• Maintain hospitality, cleanliness, and service standards
• Interact with guests and resolve day-to-day issues
• Prepare espresso drinks and support café beverage service
• Take orders, run food, buss tables, and package to-go orders
• Restock and maintain a clean, organized café
• Jump in wherever needed to keep service moving
