Blank Street is seeking a Shift Lead to guide a fast-paced cafe team in Washington, DC. You will lead by example on the floor, ensuring smooth operations, delivering top-notch hospitality, and driving team performance during peak hours.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training new teammates, and maintaining brand standards while delivering a memorable customer experience in a busy urban setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder) in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Train new employees to succeed and ensure adherence to recipes and store processes.
• Open and close the store safely, following checklists.
