Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily drive-in operations and staff on assigned shifts. You will ensure guest satisfaction, supervise team members, enforce standards, and manage opening/closing tasks.

Key requirements include at least six months of restaurant or retail management experience, strong communication, and knowledge of labor laws. This role demands flexibility with hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or retail management.
• Six months of restaurant management or one year of retail management experience.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, and lead drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead and manage operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle guest and employee issues during shift.
• Monitor and control food, labor, and inventory costs during shift.
• Prepare and maintain drive-in records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Perform all station duties as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and cleaning duties.
• Maintain regular attendance.
