Job summary

Smoothie King seeks a Team Captain to lead shifts, guide crew members, and ensure smooth store operations in Round Rock, TX. The role focuses on guest service excellence, coaching, and upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will manage staffing, enforce performance standards, and promote the “Serve to Inspire” culture while supporting the General Manager in daily store activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of guest service experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Proven ability to lead and direct a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior leadership experience at work or school organizations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead as team leader during shifts, setting pace and standards for the team.
• Create and deliver a shift huddle at the start of shifts to align goals.
• Ensure correct role assignment to maintain efficient operations.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Crew Members.
• Hold team members accountable for proper uniform and daily tasks.
• Manage labor use to deliver guest service and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure items are labeled and meet food safety standards.
• Monitor adherence to speed of service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Assist team at the POS with upselling, voiding, or refunds.
• Ensure guests receive excellent service and handle complaints effectively.
• Promote Serve to Inspire culture during shifts.
• Communicate important information to owner/manager on issues.
• Think on their feet and stay composed under pressure.
• Delegate tasks to complete daily checklists.
• Lead by example in professionalism and work ethic.
• Fulfills cash handling and inventory reporting with honesty.
• Seek feedback to improve performance.
