Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Shift Lead in New York to oversee daily café operations, lead by example on the floor, and ensure an exceptional guest experience during fast-paced shifts.

You will craft coffee and matcha, support the general manager, and train new team members on recipes and processes. You will also open/close the store, handle customer issues, and drive foot traffic and sales while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership role (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor) preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Availability that meets cafe needs; full-time 30-40 hours, 4-5 days, 2 peak days (Fri, Sat, Sun)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with Form I-9 / E-Verify

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support GM and train new employees on recipes and store processes.
• Open and close the store safely and ensure checklists are followed.
• Handle and resolve customer issues that arise.
• Lead and support initiatives to increase foot traffic, daily sales, and profitability
