Job summary

Blank Street in Boston is seeking a hands-on Shift Lead to run floor operations, craft great coffee, and deliver warm hospitality. You’ll lead by example, train teammates, and ensure smooth service during peak hours in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Bring 2+ years in customer service leadership, stamina for long shifts, and a US work authorization. Full-time, 30–40 hours/week, with 2 peak days. Perks include paid time off, holiday pay, free coffee, and employee swag.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership position in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with I-9 verification.
• Full-time availability: 30-40 hours/week, 4-5 days, peak days required.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to customers.
• Train new employees and ensure recipes and processes are followed.
• Open and close the store safely with checklists followed.
• Handle customer issues and elevate as needed.
• Lead initiatives to increase foot traffic, sales, and profitability.
