Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist to guide daily operations at the Hair Color Bar and ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure. The role involves leading a team, supporting the manager, and maintaining service quality while driving sales and retail performance.

The position requires an active cosmetology license, 1+ year of colorist and leadership experience, and strong communication. Availability on weekends and peak times is required.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where you apply.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon environment.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail or salon setting.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and good English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver top-tier guest experiences aligned with the brand values.
• Demonstrate sales and service behaviors in all guest interactions and resolve issues.
• Support front-of-house and back-of-house operations and assist with retail orders.
• Provide consultations and all menu services including basic shampoos, styling, and chemical services.
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
