Job summary

Mic Glen is seeking a proactive Shift Lead in Shallotte, NC to oversee daily coffee stand operations, lead a 40+ member team, and ensure efficient service with strong cost controls. The role involves coaching, scheduling, inventory oversight, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.

You will drive customer satisfaction, mentor staff, and implement directives from management while managing cash handling and ensuring timely, friendly service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a fast-paced setting with 40+ team members.
• Ability to manage schedules while meeting budgeted labor costs.
• Strong customer service orientation and coaching skills.
• Experience with cash handling and deposits.
• Capable of passing a background check and possessing a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift with Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets.
• Maintain wait times, cleanliness, and positive customer interactions.
• Provide regular feedback to team members on performance.
• Create weekly shift schedules within budget and staff needs.
• Order inventory and manage costs to reduce waste.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and deposits for the stand.
• Escalate to district coach when needed and train staff.
• Uphold health and safety requirements and standards.
• Develop future leaders and delegate tasks effectively.
• Communicate directives from upper management promptly.
• Hire, fire, and disciplinary actions related to shift leads and baristas.
