Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician Shift Supervisor to oversee detox and residential operations and lead the BHT team. You will monitor intake, supervision, events, transportation, and medications, ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role requires leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a compassionate, recovery-centered approach to maintain a positive environment for clients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
