Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its Detox and Residential facility. You will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, constructive recovery environment for clients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and preferably CPR certification. If in recovery, you must have at least one year of sobriety. This role emphasizes leadership, empathy, and clear boundary setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
