Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for our Detox and Residential facility in Indianapolis, IN. The role oversees daily operations, trains the BHT team, and maintains a safe, supportive recovery environment for clients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR and a valid driver's license. If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sobriety is required, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, empathy, and firm boundary setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
