Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Shift Leader for the GS1 FWD work center on Space Coast, FL. You will manage an operational shift, plan and prioritize work, coach technicians and engineers, and drive daily production goals while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing, strong problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines. Relocation is available and we value continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Direct/Indirect leadership on aerospace development programs or production lines.
Experience with integration of avionics, structures, or propulsion systems is preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and test procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Build and manage GS1 FWD Module Integration team, conduct hiring, assign tasks, and perform reviews.
Lead avionics integration technicians and engineers, manage workloads and evaluations.
Oversee installation, integration, and testing of systems including comms, navigation, flight control, and mission systems.
Lead troubleshooting for complex integration challenges while maintaining schedules.
Coordinate avionics integration activities across multiple projects and ensure cross-functional alignment.
Ensure compliance with DO-178/DO-254 and other aviation standards; maintain documentation and traceability.
Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Flight Test teams to resolve interfaces.
