Job summary

Blue Origin on the Space Coast, FL seeks a Shift Leader for Manufacturing Ops & Assembly to oversee aerospace component production. You will lead teams, optimize processes, and drive quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain, and supports new product introductions while managing budgets and resources. A strong background in manufacturing leadership and aerospace is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing a team in manufacturing or aerospace.
• 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data to drive decision-making and improvements.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor manufacturing teams, fostering teamwork and open communication.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to address manufacturing challenges and drive improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and metrics.
• Monitor production performance and report to senior management.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards compliance.
• Manage budget and resources for manufacturing activities.
• Support new product introductions and scale up production.
• Evaluate inputs and make informed decisions with a focus on quality.
