Job summary

Five Guys in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Shift Leader to guide operations, set the tone for each shift, and work hands-on with the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role involves stepping into every station—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—while modeling fast, accurate service, coaching crew, and maintaining brand standards in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Leads by example and stays calm under pressure.
• Comfort with POS systems and basic math.
• Food safety awareness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Handle cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
