Job summary

Five Guys is looking for a hands-on Shift Leader in Ashburn, VA to drive operations, mentor crew, and uphold brand standards. You will lead by example on busy shifts, collaborating with team members to deliver fast, friendly service and ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality and a proactive, team-first mindset. This role offers growth toward Assistant and General Manager positions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communicationskills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
