Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise and lead on busy shifts, working hands-on alongside the crew to ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will manage tasks across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles, modeling leadership by doing and keeping operations smooth.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality with strong communication, a team-first mindset, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience; leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Work in cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coach and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and foster a positive culture.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
• A team-first mindset withstrong communicationskills
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems
