Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations on each shift, working side-by-side with the crew to ensure top-tier guest experiences. You will lead by example, jump into any role, and drive fast, accurate service while upholding brand standards.

We look for 1–2 years in hospitality or retail, a team-first mindset, strong communication, and calm decision-making under pressure. Growth opportunities exist within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Stays cool and makes decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math skills and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Work across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
