Job summary

Five Guys in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Shift Leader to act as a hands-on leader on every shift. You’ll lead by example, work alongside your team, and ensure guests leave impressed with fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant/retail/hospitality experience; leadership preferred.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Fill in at cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and ensure a great guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness, safety and brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site


• Jump into every position - cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room - no task is too small


• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time


• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best


• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture


• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards


• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)


• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills


• Someone who leads by doing - not just directing


• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment


• Basic math and comfort using POS systems
