Job summary

Five Guys is hiring a Shift Leader in our fast-paced restaurant. You’ll lead by example, work beside your team, and ensure every guest leaves impressed with quick, accurate service.

We value hands-on leadership, coaching teammates, keeping the kitchen clean and safe, and building a positive culture. 1–2 years in hospitality is preferred; ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room; no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
