Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You’ll lead by example, supervise shifts, and collaborate with your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

This hands-on role covers cashier, grill, prep, and dining room tasks, with a focus on training, culture, and brand standards. You will manage breaks, cash handling, and end-of-shift reports, while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience preferred (leadership).
• Strong communication and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to lead by doing and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Work in cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and ensure great guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
