Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a hands-on Shift Leader to drive operations, train crew, and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

You’ll lead by example, work closely with a team, and ensure standards are met while fostering a positive culture and growth opportunities within the brand.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
