Job summary

Five Guys is hiring a Shift Leader to guide daily operations and lead by example in a fast-paced restaurant. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain brand standards.

You’ll step into multiple roles—cashier, grill, prep, dining room—delivering quick, accurate service and coaching crew to perform at their best. This on-site role emphasizes leadership and hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
