Job summary

Five Guys Operations LLC is seeking a proactive Shift Leader in Palmdale, CA to guide daily operations, work hands-on with the team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences on every shift.

You’ll lead by example, jump into cashier, grill, prep, and dining room, coach crew members, train new hires, and uphold food safety and brand standards while delivering fast, accurate service in a high-energy kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communications skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
