Charleys Frederick County Square is hiring a restaurant manager/shift lead to grow with us as we open our first Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings restaurant. This is an opportunity to become the store's General Manager, leading a diverse team and serving guests with a smile.

The role requires training and leadership across all stations and menu items, with flexibility for full-time or part-time shifts. Join a family-friendly environment focused on advancement and high standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Able to work safely around hot/cold cooking equipment.
• Honesty and integrity to promote Charleys and store values.
• Reads orders from a monitor and provides correct change.
• Handles raw, frozen, and cooked foods safely.
• Completes hands-on training and occasional coursework on devices.
• Remains calm and thrives under pressure.
• Respectful and professional to guests, vendors, teammates.
• Punctual and flexible for nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clean, neat, and professional appearance.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Master all positions and menu items (grill, toppings, prep, etc.).
• Communicate clearly with team to ensure perfect orders.
• Resolve customer issues and order discrepancies promptly.
• Train employees in safe food-handling procedures and menu details.
• Ensure timely arrival and completion of duties during shifts.
• Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately to delight customers.
• Maintain equipment safely and in good working order.
• Enforce uniform and hygiene standards per policies.
• Identify opportunities to boost performance and happiness.
• Perform opening/closing procedures per store policies.
• Manage labor, food, and controllable costs for store success.
• Conduct daily/weekly inventory counts and assist with ordering.
• Enter all orders into the register, including discounted items.
• Be friendly and attentive to customer needs for a memorable experience.
• Assist with marketing and promotional efforts for community awareness.
• Interact professionally with vendors and service personnel.
• Inform senior management of significant issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as requested by senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Master all positions (including grill, toppings, prep, etc.) and menu items, including cheesesteaks, real-fruit lemonades, wings, fries, milkshakes, and limited-time items.
• Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with team members so our team serves guests a perfect order every time.
• Quickly and respectfully resolve customer issues and order discrepancies.
• Train new and existing employees in safe food-handling procedures and the Charleys menu.
• Ensure team members arrive at work on time and complete all assigned duties during their shift.
• Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately to delight customers while meeting restaurant, health, and safety rules.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated safely to deliver consistent, safe meals to guests while adhering to all health and safety standards.
• Enforce uniform and hygiene standards in accordance with Charleys, state, and local laws and policies.
• Look for opportunities to increase the team's performance and customer happiness.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in accordance with Charleys and the store's policies and procedures.
• Maintain labor, food, and controllable costs to ensure continued success for the store and its employees.
• Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts and assist with product ordering to ensure the complete menu is offered at all times.
• Ensure all orders are entered into the register, even discounted orders.
• Be friendly and attentive to every customer's needs to create a memorable experience.
• Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to bring awareness to the community.
• Interact with vendors and service personnel professionally to ensure the highest standards of product and equipment safety.
• Promptly informs senior management and owners of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by senior management and owners.
