Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology Dining is seeking a hands-on food service professional to wash, prep, and serve meals on campus at Crossroads with a rotating schedule. You will work closely with a diverse team, delivering friendly service and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food service production and service techniques and standards.
  • Knowledge of food sanitation and safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to obtain food safety/sanitation certifications required of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Washes and prepares various foods for cooking or serving.
  • Follows all established quality control, portioning, and customer service standards.
  • Provides excellent service in a friendly, sincere, and courteous manner.
  • Cleans dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Ensures proper sorting and storage of dishware, flatware, trays, utensils, or cooking equipment.
  • Receives and stores supplies.
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
