Job summary

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii in Boulder is hiring shift leads to inspire, guide, and hustle with our team. You’ll lead shifts, train baristas, and ensure a great guest experience while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team during shifts to ensure smooth operations and guest experience.
• Support training and coaching of baristas to build confidence and consistency.
• Jump in wherever needed—from making drinks to running the register.
• Oversee cleanliness, organization, and safety/quality standards.
• Communicate with store manager on staffing, inventory and guest feedback.
• Handle opening/closing, cash handling and on-the-spot issue resolution.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in coffee, food service, or retail leadership strongly preferred

What You'll Do:

• Lead the team during shifts to ensure smooth operations and an awesome guest experience
• Support training and coaching of baristas to build confidence and consistency
• Jump in wherever needed - whether it's making drinks, running food, or working the register
• Oversee cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all safety and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with the store manager on staffing, inventory, and guest feedback
• Handle shift responsibilities such as opening/closing, cash handling, and resolving minor issues on the spot

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, move, and work on your feet for 6-8 hours per shift
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly
• Repetitive motion with hands and arms (scooping, tamping, pouring, etc.)
