Job summary

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is launching a brand-new South Broadway store in Englewood, CO and is seeking a bold Shift Lead to set the tone and lead from the front as the team builds a top-notch guest experience.

Training will occur at the Belmar location in Lakewood before the opening, with regular shifts transitioning to the new South Broadway shop. Availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Peaks To Waves LLC is growing, and we’re excited to bring bold Hawaiian brews, island vibes, and a whole lot of Bad Ass energy to our brand-new South Broadway location in Englewood!

Our South Broadway shop is targeting an October 7th opening, and we’re building our opening leadership team now. We’re looking for Shift Leads who can bring the energy, set the tone, and lead from the front as we introduce Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii to the South Broadway community.

New Store Opening & Training

Because we want our opening crew ready to hit the ground running, training will take place prior to the South Broadway opening at our existing Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Belmar location in Lakewood.

Applicants should be available to complete required training at the Belmar location ahead of the anticipated October 7th opening. Once South Broadway opens, your regular work location will transition to the new South Broadway shop.

Please note: October 7th is our target opening date and may be adjusted based on final construction, permitting, and opening requirements.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in the moment
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is key!
• Willingness and ability to complete pre-opening training at our Belmar location in Lakewood
• Previous experience in coffee, food service, retail, or hospitality leadership strongly preferred

What You’ll Do

• Lead the team during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations and an awesome guest experience
• Set the tone for great service, teamwork, and the Bad Ass Coffee Aloha spirit
• Support the training and coaching of baristas to build confidence, speed, and consistency
• Learn and reinforce Bad Ass Coffee recipes, service expectations, and operating standards
• Jump in wherever needed, whether that’s making drinks, running food, working the register, or supporting the team during a rush
• Oversee cleanliness, organization, product quality, and compliance with food safety standards
• Communicate effectively with store leadership regarding staffing, inventory, operational needs, and guest feedback
• Handle shift responsibilities including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and resolving guest or team concerns
• Help establish a strong team culture and consistent guest experience from day one

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, move, and work on your feet for 6-8 hours per shift
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly
• Perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, including scooping, tamping, pouring, and preparing beverages
