Job summary

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is opening a brand-new South Broadway location in Englewood, CO, and we’re hiring a part of the opening team. You’ll gain hands-on training at our Belmar location in Lakewood before the South Broadway shop opens, with a target opening date of October 7th.

As a barista, you’ll craft high-quality coffee, create a welcoming guest experience, and help shape the shop culture from day one.

Qualifications

• Energetic, outgoing, and dependable team members.
• Fast learners who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Great communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service.
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is key!
• Willingness to complete pre-opening training at our Belmar location in Lakewood.
• Experience in coffee, food service, or retail preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Make high-quality coffee and espresso drinks with speed and consistency.
• Create a welcoming guest experience from day one.
• Learn the menu, recipes, and service standards during pre-opening training.
• Keep the shop clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
• Follow all recipes and safety standards.
• Support shift leads and manager.
• Help establish an incredible culture and guest experience from day one.

At Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, we serve more than just coffee. We serve up Aloha.

Peaks To Waves LLC is growing, and we're excited to bring bold Hawaiian brews, island vibes, and a whole lot of Bad Ass energy to our brand-new South Broadway location in Englewood!

Our South Broadway shop is targeting an October 7th opening, and we're building our opening team now. This is your chance to get in from the beginning, help create the culture of a brand-new store, and be part of introducing Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii to the South Broadway community.

New Store Opening & Training

Because we want our opening crew ready to hit the ground running, training will take place prior to the South Broadway opening at our existing Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Belmar location in Lakewood.

Applicants should be available to complete required training at the Belmar location ahead of the anticipated October 7th opening. Once South Broadway opens, your regular work location will transition to the new South Broadway shop.

Please note: October 7th is our target opening date and may be adjusted based on final construction, permitting, and opening requirements.

What You'll Do

• Learn the Bad Ass Coffee menu, recipes, and service standards during pre-opening training
• Keep the shop clean, stocked, and running smoothly
• Follow all recipes, food safety, and cleanliness standards
• Work as part of a tight-knit team and support your shift leads and manager
• Help us establish an incredible culture and guest experience from day one

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, move, and work on your feet for 6-8 hours per shift
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly
• Perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, including scooping, tamping, pouring, and preparing beverages
