Job summary

Million Air Houston is seeking a flight coordinator/scheduler to deliver outstanding service to charter customers by applying knowledge of company procedures and coordinating all charter/owner flights. You will communicate with customers, pilots, and team members to ensure on-time, safe movements and compliance with regulations.

The role requires strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in service, aviation or hospitality preferred.
• FAA regulations knowledge a plus.
• General aviation knowledge preferred.
• US customs entry/exit procedures knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charter sales duties: answer calls and quote trips.

Objective

**This is an onsite, office position**

The flight coordinator/scheduler is responsible for providing outstanding service to charter customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company procedures and ensure proper scheduling of all charter/owner flights as well as communicating effectively with customers, pilots, and team members within the flight department. Maintain operational control of all flight activities associated with planning, scheduling, and ground handling of aircraft movements to expedite their completion with excellent service and safety in compliance with company and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Charter sales duties to include answering incoming calls and quoting trips to new and existing customers
• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Schedule trips including crewing and coordination with ground support
• Handle customer requests including setting up catering, transportation, hotels, etc.
• Active flight following of all in-progress trips, review NOTAMS, weather, noise restrictions. Coordinate international flights as required
• Monitor crew schedules, flight/duty/rest limitations
• Administer and actively seek out company cost savings
• Enter post flight information into charter software program for tracking purposes
• Assist flight operations and charter sales with special projects and duties as assigned

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Charter Operations Manager

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt position.

This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.

Scheduling flexibility a must

Travel

Some travel may be required for industry events.

Required Education And Experience

• Experience in the service, aviation or hospitality industry preferred
• Knowledge and experience with FAA regulations
• General aviation knowledge with regard to personal and corporate aircraft.
• Knowledge and experience with US customs entry/exit procedures as well as international handling preferred.
• 2 years' experience in flight management/charter operations
• High School Diploma required, prefer some college and/or Bachelor degree in aviation or related field

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• FAA Dispatchers licensed preferred
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Zero tolerance drug free company
