Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a high‑caliber Shift Supervisor to lead engineering and maintenance teams in the module area. You will drive safety, quality, yield, and throughput while maintaining cost efficiency on the line.

This role requires strong leadership, troubleshooting skills, and hands‑on experience with vacuum/thermal systems. Ideal candidates hold an engineering or technical background and have proven supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical and mechanical knowledge as a baseline.
• Experience with vacuum/thermal systems is preferred.
• Leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment are required.
• Familiarity with ISO14001/ISO9001/OSHA quality and safety systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead shift engineering and maintenance technicians.
• Plan and schedule daily work assignments for module area staff.
• Ensure safety procedures and 5S housekeeping are followed.
• Maintain production readiness and escalation for module tools.
• Address SPC alarms and drive corrective actions for yield improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet production and process objectives.
