Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily PV module production in one area of the plant, ensuring quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role includes coordinating training, maintaining records, and utilizing Kronos and internal software to track performance.

The candidate should have strong supervisory experience in manufacturing, solid communication, and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to drive continuous improvement and meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Candidates must meet one of six supervisory criteria listed above.
• Manufacturing supervisory or team leadership experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises daily production of Photovoltaic modules in a specified area.
• Coordinate on-the-job training of manufacturing associates.
• Maintain associate records and training progress.
• Ensure safety procedures and 5S housekeeping standards are followed.
• Utilize manufacturing software for production tracking and Kronos timekeeping.
• Identify and resolve downtime and process bottlenecks to improve throughput.
• Collaborate with other departments to exceed customer expectations.
