Job summary

Heritage Christian Services is seeking a shift coordinator to lead scheduling and direct support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes coordinating staff shifts and acting as an advocate to support individuals’ well-being and informed choices.

You will partner with leadership to ensure effective daily operations and person-centered care. This entry‑level supervisory role emphasizes leadership, organization, and strong communication to empower participants

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or High School Equivalency; college experience preferred.
• Valid New York State driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian Services motor vehicle standards. Reliable transportation required.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require support with transfers.
• Minimum six months experience in direct support is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work schedules for all staff.
• Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities.
• Advocate and assist people in expressing their wants and needs.
