Job summary

ADVOCATE HEALTHCARE SERVICES is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time, in-person role requires compassion, reliability, and adherence to Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, documenting progress, and transporting clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living per BSP/ISP goals.
• Document data daily and complete time sheets and logs.
• Must be able to push/pull and lift up to 75 lbs and stand for 3 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior plans and teach skills to promote independence.
• Provide safe, supportive care in home or community settings.
• Deliver recreation and communication activities to improve outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and logs as directed by the team.
