Job summary

Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) is seeking a Shelter Support to float across three Phoenix shelters. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, supportive environment and assisting individuals with daily needs while connecting them with housing resources.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask, data entry in HMIS, and collaboration with shelter leadership and staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client support and excellent customer service to clients, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
• Complete new client intakes and explain agency rules; tour around campus.
• Enter relevant data in HMIS and maintain accurate shelter records; prepare reports as needed.
• Maintain a safe, orderly shelter environment; assist with supply stocking and bedding/daily operations.
• Coordinate with leadership and other departments to ensure continuity of services across shifts.
