Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland in Lorain, OH seeks a part-time, non-exempt position to assist clients and support shelter operations. The role involves supervising clients, facilitating activities, and coordinating transportation and case management tasks.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, data entry, and collaboration with staff. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and a valid Ohio driver’s license. Pay is hourly and benefits may apply.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework encouraged.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Ohio driver's license; MVR check required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and be flexible.

Responsabilidades

• Align activities with Catholic Charities mission and values.
• Supervise shelter clients; oversee check-in; enforce policies.
• Provide client support and guidance.
• Transport clients to appointments/activities as needed.
• Perform de-escalation as needed.
• Oversee client self-administration of medication.
• Initiate daily activities (showers, laundry) and remind about programs.
• Monitor medical emergencies and notify staff.
• Manage client activities on shift.
• Inspect shelter at check-in and conduct breath screens.
• Handle referrals for housing and basic needs.
• Monitor cafeteria floor during meals.
• May monitor intake desk during meals.
• Oversee pantry program including distribution.
• Supervise dining areas; maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Enter service data into Penelope/Avatar.
• Pick up donations.
• Maintain records for funding reports.
• Develop and share resources to help clients.
• Post announcements as needed.
• Model professionalism and positive communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
