The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory in Freeport, TX, invites applications for a Regular Part-Time Shelter Assistant. You will assist residents overnight, conduct intake procedures, and help ensure safety and compliance with house rules.

You will maintain accurate records, support housekeeping and logistical tasks, and contribute to a clean, orderly facility. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience in shelter or social services.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; one year security or social services experience in a shelter or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license preferred; CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers certifications preferred or obtainable within timeframe.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain building security and monitor residents during overnight shelter shifts.
• Handle client intake and discharge procedures and maintain intake records.
• Coordinate housekeeping and chore distribution and ensure cleanliness of the facility.

Conhecimentos

Driver's License (Preferred)

CPR/First Aid Certification

Food Handlers Certification

Security or Social Services Experience
