Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern Territory in Austin, TX is seeking a Housing Shelter Associate to support residents and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and preferably one year of security or social service experience; driver’s license and certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• One year security or social service experience preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Building Security: ensure facility security, check compliance with rules, and manage alarms.
• Intake/Discharge: handle intake procedures, screenings, and case records.
• Housekeeping/Chore: assign daily chores and maintain facility cleanliness and supplies.
