Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) seeks a Housing Support Technician to monitor the homeless residential programs and facility operations in Louisville, KY. The role emphasizes safety, security, and adherence to program rules, with responsibilities across front desk, intake support, and collaboration with staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and experience in crisis or low-income settings; CPR/First Aid certification may be required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years of post-secondary education preferred.
• Prior experience in a residential homeless program required.
• Experience working with individuals in crisis/low-income settings preferred.
• Valid KY ID; CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility operations in the absence of senior staff.
• Oversee front desk operations, referrals, cameras, intakes, and client requests.
• Ensure client compliance with VOA policies and house rules.
• Maintain chronological records of shift events.
• Manage client sign-in/sign-out logs.
• Assist with drug screenings and initial intake paperwork.
• Monitor meals and assist in kitchen activities.
