Job summary

New York City Department of Homeless Services is recruiting for three Administrative Director of Social Services M-I to function as Operations Managers who will oversee intake and shelter operations for single adult men and coordinate with Directors of Intake to ensure essential services are delivered in a safe, clean environment.

The role requires a baccalaureate degree with four years of relevant experience and administrative or managerial experience.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree and four years of progressively responsible experience in social services or a large governmental agency.
• Graduate education or licensure may substitute for up to three years of experience in social services.
• One year of administrative or managerial experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of intake and shelter operations for single adult men.
• Collaborate with Directors of Intake to ensure safe, clean, and compliant environments.
• Supervise staff including supervisors and coordinators.
• Manage bed census, staffing, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain logs and ensure adherence to agency policies and regulations.
