Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of Human Services experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of Human Services or relevant life experience may be substituted.
• Valid MA driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Commitment to health equity and antiracism.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for those experiencing homelessness.
• Oversee daily operation and supervision of shelter operations staff.
• Supervise milieu support and guest engagement across shelter areas.
• Schedule shifts, cover absences, and ensure shelter safety.
• Enforce shelter rules and policies with fairness.
• Facilitate access to basic needs and public health supplies.
• Coordinate resources and services for guests.
• Conduct informal and formal assessments and referrals.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including log notes.
