The role ensures the house operates smoothly per program guidelines and is available to residents for support, enforcing all house rules and policies. The position involves day, evening, and night shifts with direct resident interaction, supervision responsibilities, and coordination with staff to maintain safe, orderly shelter operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with homeless individuals or families.
• Ability to handle crises with good judgment and strong communication.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, move items up to 25 lbs, and remain stationary for portions of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Manages the operations of the program during the day.
• Admits residents entering shelter and assesses suitability for placement.
• Provides supplies including food for residents.
• Reads and updates staff logs with important information during shift.
• Maintains logs of evening and weekend activities.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.
• Adheres to agency policies and procedures.
