Job summary

Heading Home, Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking a Part-time House Manager to run the Shelter program under supervision. You will ensure smooth operation, support residents, and enforce program rules during weekend shifts. This role is hourly non-exempt and includes Saturday and Sunday coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience with homeless individuals or at-risk populations.
• Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment and communication.
• Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manages the operations of the program during the day.
• Admit residents and assess suitability for shelter.
• Provide supplies including snacks and lunches.
• Reads and updates staff logs with important information during shifts.
• Maintains logs of evening and weekend activities.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.
• Adheres to agency policies, procedures and rules.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Program Coordinator.
