Job summary

Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority seeks an individual to support the Next Step Up Emergency Shelter operations, guest care, and resource navigation. Responsibilities include managing daily facility needs, supplies, and security, while assisting with intake and housing transition processes.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, confidentiality, and collaboration with Shelter Managers, Case Managers, and local responders to ensure safe, dignified guest experiences.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a residential setting is required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict management skills.
• Ability to work independently within the Shelter Program.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Shelter and guest services.
• Manage shelter supplies, meals, and non-perishable items.
• Coordinate guest intake, orientation, and case management support.
• Monitor facility security cameras, points of entry, and grounds.
• Assist with safety and housekeeping inspections.
• Guide guests in using Shelter resources (kitchen, laundry, storage).
• Log and monitor all visitors and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.
• Adhere to confidentiality and HMIS data requirements.
• Participate in on-call staffing as needed.
