Job summary

KLEO Community Family Life Center is seeking a Residential Monitor to perform day-to-day Shelter operations under the direction of the Shift Supervisor. The role supports meals, cleaning, and client services while upholding the mission and guiding program initiatives.

Responsibilities include intake, discharge planning, staff training support, laundry assistance, and adherence to shelter rules. The position requires on-site presence at the MWRD Shelter in Chicago with a 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or four-years of equivalent experience.
• Experience providing services to homeless residents is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to software applications and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Intake new clients and assist with discharge planning.
• Support distribution of meals and snacks including cleanup.
• Conduct hourly walking inspections of all facility areas.
• Assist with training new staff and volunteers.
• Assist residents with regular laundry services.
• Assist custodial and janitorial duties.
• Stock food and supplies as needed.
• Communicate shelter rules to residents and participate in staff meetings.
