Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada seeks an Emergency Shelter Coordinator to work with Case Management to address client needs. The role serves as a liaison for partner agencies and clients when case managers are unavailable, coordinating intake, outreach, and referrals while supporting a cohesive system of care.

You will coordinate intake at the shelter, maintain client files in the database, assist clients with service access, and help with employment and financial education activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Must be computer literate and able to use standard software.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification are advantageous.
• Must pass background checks including criminal and drug screens.
• Experience in homeless services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, enrollment, and data collection at the Emergency Shelter intake/reception center.
• Maintain client files and program database entries daily.
• Assist clients by managing service use and expediting delivery through referrals.
• Facilitate employment assistance programs, job readiness, and financial education.
• Establish and maintain community resources and partnerships.
• Monitor eligibility requirements and conduct program evaluations.
• Maintain a safe and clean shelter environment and address safety issues.
