Job summary

Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter is hiring a Kitchen Aide to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a clean, sanitary environment. The role supports the Kitchen Manager to maintain food items, stock cabinets, and ensure safety and compliance with policies.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years old. Preference given to applicants with ServSafe certification or plans to obtain it within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
• ServSafe Food Handling certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of employment.
• Commercial kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals per the posted menu.
• Follow dietary restrictions and allergies as required.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas and proper food storage.
• Operate and report any kitchen equipment malfunctions.
• Assist with inventory, donations, and grocery list maintenance.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in accordance with NWACS procedures.
