Job summary

Our House, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and sanitation for shelter residents. You will work with the Director of Culinary Services & Education to ensure nutritious meals and proper recordkeeping.

Position requires a high school diploma and CACFP training, with preference for applicants experienced in food service and sanitation. In-office, 40-hour weeks, with potential for early mornings or weekends based on meal schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete required initial and annual CACFP and nutrition training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for shelter residents.
• Follow CACFP meal patterns and production records.
• Assist Director of Culinary Services & Education in meal prep and sanitation.
• Transport meals to other centers as needed.
