Job summary

The Salvation Army Bell Shelter in Bell, CA is seeking a Client Ambassador focused on customer service and safety for a fulltime, on-site role. You will greet visitors, answer calls, and guide clients through shelter services while maintaining confidential records and incident reports.

Responsibilities include monitoring rounds, assisting with medication-related tasks, and ensuring a clean, secure shelter. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience with individuals experiencing homelessness or vulnerable populations.
• CPR and First Aid certification prior to employment and annually thereafter.
• TB clearance prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to support the Salvation Army mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, respectful, and responsive support to participants.
• Monitor front desk, respond to requests, questions, and needs.
• Assist participants with shelter services, resources, and daily operations.
• Maintain shift logs, participant records, incident reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Security, Maintenance, and other departments.
